Try this - call the USDA and ask her where the USDA stamp is on the eFoods packaging. Since they label the package as "Chicken and Rice" just ask her what is required and why there is no USDA inspection on the eFoods package.

Ask if any package that uses the word "Chicken" is required to have chicken in it. Ask if an inspection is required. Ask why eFoods does not have those inspections.

Then contact your attorney and ask about truth in advertising, truth in labeling, full disclosure, misrepresentation, deceptive trade practices, false advertising, wire fraud, mail fraud, etc.

Then ask your attorney to search for other lawsuits against eFoods Direct and eFoods Global, their MLM company.

If everything checks out, then jump on the MLM program. If not, you'll be glad you did your homework. You might even get your money back or make some money on a class action lawsuit.

At least you will be able to make a smart decision.

"All eFoodsDirect products are suitable for vegetarians, as they do not contain any meat products.

Instead, the company uses textured vegetable protein (TVP) to provide the taste and texture of meat.

"Vegetarian" is a term that mainly describes a person that does not eat or believe in eating meat, fish, or fowl. Vegetarians, when they add protein from other sources to their diet, can enjoy health benefits such as lower levels of cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and less incidence of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and osteoporosis."

The real issue is truth in labeling. A label will not get corrected just by complaining when there is no chicken in a "Chicken and Rice" product, which is why there is no USDA mark of inspection on the label. Simply calling USDA labeling will not do anything.

The product is under the jurisdiction of FDA. However, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has interest in the misleading aspect of the product name because the product is purporting to be a chicken product. The USDA FSIS Labeling and Program Delivery Division would advise to send them a letter of complaint with the complete label, front and back. The USDA would then write a letter of complaint and forward the label to the FDA.

I ordered from efoodsdirect 4 weeks ago. I wonder if I will ever get the food.

I have been waiting for a month. This is the first experience I have had of a company charging before shipping, not sending a confirmation, not even friendly when you call them. Someone mentioned employees.

I doubt if they have more than 2. I wouldn't be too worried if they hadn't taken my money, but under the circumstances, it does not look good.

In reference to the guy who could starve during an emergency...well yes you could as EFoods portions are almost half that of others. 4 oz compared to 6 or 8. I wouldn't buy again from this company.

EFoods doesn't use real meat. They use textured vegetable protein.

That's why they don't need USDA. Then again, when they say Chicken or Beef, they really don't mean Chicken or Beef, do they?
